Overview

Aqeel Apparel is my personal e-commerce brand concept, blending fashion with religious values. The goal was to create a user-friendly prototype to map out the user flow and develop simple, intuitive designs that reflect the brand's essence.

Role:

In this project, I served as the UX/UI Designer and E-commerce Strategist for Aqeel Apparel. I was responsible for mapping the user flow, designing intuitive page layouts, and developing a seamless prototype that aligned with both functional e-commerce needs and the brand’s core values. My role also included conducting initial research on user behavior, creating wireframes and prototypes, and incorporating feedback to ensure accessibility and user-friendliness throughout the shopping experience.

Tools:

-Figma

-Canva

Problem

The challenge was to design a seamless e-commerce experience that aligns with both aesthetic fashion trends and religious principles, ensuring accessibility and ease of navigation for diverse users.

Solution

I developed a prototype that outlines the primary user journey—from browsing products to checkout. This includes simple page layouts, intuitive navigation, and functional components like product filtering and a streamlined cart process. The design prioritizes a clean, minimalist interface to enhance user experience.

Key Features

  • Home Page: Highlights featured products and new arrivals with clear navigation options.
  • Product Page: Detailed descriptions with filtering options for size, color, and style.
  • Checkout Flow: A simple, step-by-step process to ensure quick and secure transactions

UX Research

  • User Research: I identified two key user personas interested in faith-based fashion.
  • Wireframes: I sketched low-fidelity screens to visualize the product pages, navigation menus, and checkout process.
  • Prototype: Using tools  (Figma), I created a functional prototype to simulate user interactions and flow.
  • User Testing: Initial feedback from peers and potential customers provided insights for minor adjustments.
